There are people to talk to or places to go to get help in redirecting a person from a lack of hope to a path of healing and wellness. If you or someone you know is showing the warning signs of suicide, talk to someone you trust and find out where you can go to get help:

The Indian Health Service’s (IHS) Community Suicide Prevention Website provides American Indian and Alaska Native communities with culturally appropriate information on preventing suicide.

The Suicide Prevention Resource Center offers information on prevention resources in each state. A Native American and Alaska Native section is also available.
